About The Department
The humanities and sciences strongly acknowledge as the footing subject for all the other branches of engineering discipline. The humanities and sciences department aims at providing competitive quality of education and it supports the students to lay the basic profound foundation of information and knowledge to all the branches of engineering. The objective of the department is to make the students understand and aware of the importance of sciences and develop a natural elegance and interest towards engineering and technology, which in turn will enhance and mold the students into a competent professionals. It encourages the practical applications of concepts through the learning experience and active participation and sharpens the students’ strength and capability to converse and think rationally, potentially, and innovatively in several ways and these are appropriate for their discipline.Â
The precept of the department is to cater the formidable education to the students with the assistance of well-qualified, dedicated and highly motivated faculty members. our faculty’s research expertise in all frontier areas in English, physics, chemistry and mathematics will definitely aid the students to enrich their awareness in engineering studies. The faculty of humanities and sciences, impart the best teaching methodologies to the students, which results to mould the students to competent and true professionals, who are fit to apply their knowledge innovatively and independently and the outcome is they are recognized as ample engineers of the society.Â

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOS)
PEO 1: To provide strong fundamentals in engineering principles to analyze, design and develop effective solutions using Advanced Programming tools in the field of Information Technology.
PEO 2:To create an IT Industry oriented Atmosphere for imparting the ability to lead or work in inter-disciplinary domains, collaboratively conduct research and Develop Solutions for the Benefit of Society.
PEO 3: Practice Professionalism and lifelong learning by adapting newer technologies with legal, social and ethical responsibilities.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POS)
PO1:Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2:Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineeringsciences.
PO3:Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO4:Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide validconclusions.
PO5:Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of thelimitations.
PO6:The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineeringpractice.

PSO1:Â To exhibit the knowledge of algorithms, data structures, information security, programming languages, networking devices and data science and analytics as an IT Professional.
PSO2:To be able to use industry Standard tools by Collaborating with Peers for becoming a Successful IT Professional.
Dr.K.V.Reddy
Dr.K.V.Reddy, M.SC., M.Ed., Ph.D., HOD, is head of department of humanities and sciences (I-B.Tech) of CMR engineering college. He has a rich teaching experience of 25 years in multiple educational institutions at UG and PG levels. He has published more than twenty research papers in the international journals and also wrote a book on Engineering Chemistry in 2019-20. To his credit successfully organised three international seminars and published two books. He possesses vast administrative experience and associates with i/c transport, student affairs and boss representative of different reputed engineering colleges of Hyderabad. He taught  diversified topics in the field of chemistry and chemical engineering besides plays a pivotal role to  establish, the diversified chemistry laboratories in a dedicated manner. His signature of contribution is explicitly visible in analytical, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, engineering chemistry and chemical technology laboratories. He has earned an honourable place for himself being an organizer and the best teacher in the field of education. He has been guiding nine research scholars; two of them were awarded with the doctorate degrees under his proficient guide ship.Â
