Dr. Maram Ashok is a distinguished academic leader, researcher, educator, and institution builder with over 30 years of rich experience in higher education, academic leadership, research, teaching, and institutional development.

As the Principal of CMR Engineering College, he brings a strong vision for academic excellence, innovation, research, and the holistic development of students.

With extensive experience in leading engineering institutions, Dr. Ashok has served in senior academic and administrative positions including Principal, Professor, Vice Principal, and Head of the Department. His leadership is driven by a commitment to strengthening academic standards, fostering a culture of research and innovation, empowering faculty, and creating meaningful opportunities for 

students to excel in an increasingly technology-driven world.

Dr. Ashok holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Technology from Sri Krishnadevaraya University and an M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from JNTU. His areas of academic and research interest include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Image Processing, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Embedded Systems, and emerging technologies.

His research journey encompasses numerous scholarly publications, books, book chapters, conference contributions, research guidance, funded projects, and technological innovations. His scholarly work includes publications associated with Scopus, SCI, SCIE, ESCI, and UGC Care-indexed venues, along with patents and granted international patents in emerging technology domains.

Among his recognitions is the Bhishma Acharya (Principal) Bharat Education Excellence Award, along with a Best Teacher Award and recognition for research contributions. He has also contributed to academic governance through governing bodies, academic councils, boards of studies, professional associations, conferences, workshops, and faculty development programmes.
