ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) has established in the year 2020 with intake of 180. CSE(AI-ML) is programme with advanced learning solutions imparting knowledge of advanced innovations such as machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence, etc. This specialization is designed to enable students to build intelligent systems, software, or applications with a cutting-edge combination of artificial intelligence, machine learning, analytics and visualization technologies.
The main goal of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) is to provide the intelligence through complex program to solve a given problem. In real world, many successful applications are based on machine learning, including systems that analyze past sales data to predict customer behavior, financial management, face recognition, speech recognition, image processing, optimize robot behavior, recommender systems in e-commerce, etc. so that a task can be completed using minimum resources.
Ample career opportunities exist in public and private sectors such as health care industry, manufacturing, e-commerce, social networks, etc., to name few. The jobs in AI include Software analysts and developers, Computer scientists and computer engineers, AI Algorithm specialists, Research scientists, AI &ML Engineer, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Scientist, AI Software Engineer and so on.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POS)
Engineering Graduates will be able to satisfy these NBA graduate attributes:
- Engineering Knowledge: Apply knowledge of mathematics, natural science, computing, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to develop to the solution of complex engineering problems.
- Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions with consideration for sustainable development.
- Design/Development of Solutions: Design creative solutions for complex engineering problems and design/develop systems/components/processes to meet identified needs with consideration for the public health and safety, whole-life cost, net zero carbon, culture, society and environment as required.
- Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Conduct investigations of complex engineering problems using research-based knowledge including design of experiments, modelling, analysis & interpretation of data to provide valid conclusions.
- Engineering Tool Usage: Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering & IT tools, including prediction and modelling recognizing their limitations to solve complex engineering problems.
- The Engineer and the World: Analyze and evaluate societal and environmental aspects while solving complex engineering problems for its impact on sustainability with reference to economy, health, safety, legal framework, culture and environment.

PSO1 : Ability to collect and analyse datasets, identify the patterns, and understand the behaviour of data and their applications for various domains.

Dr. M. Kumara Swamy
Dr.Madhavi Pingili is working as Head of the Department of CSE (AI&ML) in CMR Engineering College, Kandlakoya (V), Medchal (M), Hyderabad, Telangana, India. She has 15 years of experience in teaching. She published many papers in the peer-refereed National and International journals and conferences. She possesses shrewd Administration and meticulous planning in handling the Department as HOD.
She completed her Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science from Mysore University, Karnataka . Her research interests include Image Processing, Content Based Image Retrieval. She has held different academic positions. She is life time member of IEI-Institute of Engineers (India) with Member ID:043398, IAENG – Member No: 221042 , Internet Society of India – Member ID : 2231416.
She visited Lincoln Malaysian University, Malaysia as a visiting fellow. Received Professor of the Year Award (Computer Science & HOD of IT Department) through Tutors Pride on 150th Gandhi Jayanthi on 02.10.2019 at Hyderabad. Awarded with Outstanding Researcher in Information Technology@3 rd. Global Outreach Research and Education Summit Awards 2019 in Bangalore.
