Operating Systems Lab

Operating Systems Lab is a part of II B. Tech I semester for IT students. This lab includes design aspects of operating system concepts through simulation , scheduling policies, memory management techniques, process concurrency and synchronization, I/O storage and file management and to study different operating systems with deadlock recovery and avoidance with recommended systems/software requirements following the university prescribed textbooks and Lab manuals.

The expected outcomes from the students are:

  • Simulate and implement operating system concepts such as scheduling, deadlock

management, file management and memory management.

  • Able to implement C programs using Unix system calls
