Guest Lecture On Machine Learning for Health Care By CSE

Aim & Objective:

Introduces students to machine learning in healthcare, including the machine learning basic concepts, nature of clinical data and the use of machine learning for risk stratification, disease progression modeling, precision medicine, diagnosis, subtype discovery, and improving clinical workflows.

Description
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has conducted a Guest lecture on Machine learning for healthcare in collaboration with Institution Innovative Council on 26/12/2020. CMREC conducted this Guest Lecture through online mode due to the pandemic situation of COVID-19. The total number of students participated was around 83 from Second year. And 10 faculty members joined for this Lecture.

Benefits in terms of Learning

The value of machine learning in healthcare is its ability to process huge datasets beyond the scope of human capability, students learned about healthcare by using Machine learning  and then reliably convert analysis of that data into clinical insights that aid physicians in planning and providing care, ultimately leading to better outcomes, lower costs of care.
