Economic development of a country is supported by entrepreneurship in several ways. It is a key contributor to innovativeness and product improvement and a pivotal ingredient to employment creation. Another important aspect to be considered is that in the context of the Indian market, entrepreneurship led economic growth is more inclusive and hence Governments, both at Centre and State level, have been taking initiatives to boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem as they realize the benefits entrepreneurship brings to the economic growth of the country.

EDC cell was established on its own initiative in the year 2013 with principal Dr.A. Srinivasula Reddy, Shri.Ch. Bhupal Reddy vice chairman and secretary and correspondent Shri. Srisailam Reddy.

The EDC cell called AGRATA is a manifestation of the efforts, ideas dreams and aspiration of every individual associated with it.  It is established to develop the entrepreneurial perspective in every student life thus empowering them to excel as entrepreneurs.

The ED Cell of the College conducts various awareness programmes such as Seminars, Workshops, Industrial Visits, Food Fest and Interaction with young Entrepreneurs etc. These programmes are aimed at making the student community more enthusiastic towards entrepreneurial activity. The Advisory board for the ED cell comprises of members from industry, financial institutions, Research and Development, Government institutions etc. The board will guide and advise the cell in organizing various activities.

Vision

  • To furnish the needs of aspiring entrepreneurs with innovative and creative ideas of societal relevance and there introducing a culture and ethics of entrepreneurship inside campus which strengthens the education system.

Mission

  • To develop institutional mechanism to create entrepreneurial culture in academic institution to faster growth of innovation entrepreneurship among the students.

Objectives

  1. To create awareness on Entrepreneurship among the students through training programmes and camps.
  2. To enhance industry institute interaction through guest lectures and industrial visits.
  3. To help students acquire necessary managerial skills to run an enterprise effectively.
  4. To generate entrepreneurship skills among the students to cope up with the current trends in the market.
  5. To help students channelize their goals to become a versatile entrepreneur.
  6. To assisting financial support of venture creation
  7. Identifying  and motivate  budding  entrepreneurs

Functions:

  1. To organize entrepreneurship awareness camps, entrepreneur programs faculty development programmes in the region for benefit of science and technology persons.
  2. To developed & introduce curriculums on entrepreneur development at various levels include graduation & post graduation of courses of parent institutional and others institution in the region.
  3. To conduct research for survey for identifying entrepreneur opportunities.
  4. To guide & assist prospective entrepreneurs on various aspects such as preparing the projects, reports, obtaining project approval loans, and facilities from agencies of support system.
  5. Organize guest lecture T.V & radio talks seminars etc., for promoting growth of science and technology based on execution of projects.
