Professional bodies at CMREC are very active. One of the most important functions these  serve is the dissemination of technical knowledge which helps to ensure engineers remain abreast of recent discoveries and technical advances in this complex and ever changing field. Joining one of these societies is a positive step in making a commitment to lifelong learning.

1. IEEE – Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers

Main Objective:
To advance technology for the benefit of humanity.

Key Objectives:

• Promote innovation and excellence in electrical, electronics, computer, and related engineering fields.
• Foster professional development and collaboration among engineers, scientists, and students.
• Organize conferences, workshops, and publish journals to disseminate knowledge.
• Support education and lifelong learning in engineering and technology.

2. ISOC – Internet Society

• Promote Internet governance that protects privacy, security, and freedom of expression.
• Foster Internet access and digital inclusion, especially in developing regions.
• Educate and raise awareness on Internet-related policy issues.

3. IEI – The Institution of Engineers (India)

Main Objective:
To promote and advance the engineering profession in India.

Key Objectives:

• Support professional development and continuing education for engineers.
• Establish and uphold standards of engineering ethics and practice.
• Conduct exams like AMIE for non-traditional engineering qualification pathways.
• Offer a platform for networking, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among engineers.
• Contribute to national development through engineering consultancy, policy input, and research.
