Electronic Devices and Circuits Lab

As a part of II B.Tech I semester curriculum, this laboratory has been setup to conduct practical work for B.Tech., ECE students and it is  specially designed and developed for the students to observe the characteristics of various electronic devices. This lab is well provided with equipment like Cathode Ray Oscilloscopes (CRO), Digital Oscilloscopes, Regulated DC power supplies (RPS), Function Generators and Digital and Analog meters of a wide range. This lab gives practical observation on different basic applications of electronic devices. This gives a good foundation on electronic devices to  the students in the initial years. At the end of the semester the student will handle any basic level electronic circuits. We also encourage students to take mini projects by providing them with the required components. The Budget of this lab is around Rs :8,85,431/-.

Ambience:

  1. Lab is designed with good acoustic and lighting: laboratory is designed with very good acoustic, air-circulation, fans, AC, Fluorescent lighting in this lab, which gives bright and clear circumstances. While making the electrical connections and handling with high power equipments, Electrical safety measures have been provided. Instruments which are used are provided with proper insulation and with guidance.
  2. Laboratory displayed with Experiment list, LEAD experiment: Lab consists of charts which give information regarding experiments for the academic year going to be performed by the students and additional experiment conducted through Learn Emerging Advances in Domain (LEAD).
  3. Laboratory displayed with Major equipment details: In this laboratory mainly we used software MATLAB R2016b required to perform experiments and lab consists of charts of major equipments which give information regarding working principle of these components.
  4. Fire extinguisher, Safety guidelines chart is displayed in the lab: lab consists of fire extinguisher and lab consists of a chart which gives information regarding safety precautions need to be followed by the students when they are performing experiments.
  5. Laboratory is well furnished: In this laboratory students will work individually. However, the lab reports will be written individually. Proper stools, benches, and rack for keeping bags and maintained in good manner. It also consists of Reports that are due at the beginning of the lab period. The reports are intended to be a complete documentation of the work done in preparation for and during the lab. The report should be complete so that someone else familiar with digital design could use it to verify your work.
  6. Laboratory consist display charts: the lab is equipped with display charts which gives information regarding the lab time-table, faculty details and lab curriculum , lab related charts for the academic year. The display charts also includes some famous scientists and their work in the field of science.
