INDIAN SOCIETY FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION (ISTE)

The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is the leading National Professional non-profit making Society for the Technical Education System in our country with the motto of Career Development of Teachers and Personality Development of Students and overall development of our Technical Education System. At present, ISTE has a very large and an effective membership base consisting of more than 1,02,985 Life Members, 5,54,094 Student Members, 2410 Institutional Members (including IITs, IISc.., NITs and other leading technical institutions), 1214 Faculty Chapters and 1322 Students’ Chapters and 17 Sections throughout the country.

Objectives

The major objective of the ISTE is to provide quality training programmes to teachers and administrators of technical institutions to update their knowledge and skills in their fields of activity and to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industry and other organisations.

ISTE Chapter

To carry out promotional activities for the cause of education in general and it’s all function pertaining to engineering. To provide a common platform for Their Multifarious personality development Enhancement of their technical knowledge and skills to undertake any or all activity which conduce the technical and intellectual advancement in the members to create awareness about the career opportunities & challenges in technical educations in the member. To fulfill the above-mentioned objectives the following activities can be carried out by the ISTE Chapter.

  1. To organize & promote Seminar on different technical / non-technical topics Symposia
  2. Workshops Research paper presentations Project exhibition/competition Counseling services
  3. To organize & promote Lectures by experts Eminent professional, techno craft, industrialist Technical education field various technical / non-technical subjects / topics R & D organization Ethics, moral values & spiritualism
  4. To organize & promote training programs specialized equipment’s, soft wares, modules etc
  5. Creating awareness in the students about the career opportunities & challenges in technical educations developing interest towards research work and teaching profession in them Inculcating professional ethics in them developing flair of patriotism Environment awareness
  6. To organize & promote visit of Industries Research & Development laboratories\organizations
