7.1.9: Sensitization of students and employees of the Institution to the constitutional obligations: values, rights, duties and responsibilities of citizens
CMREC believes in all round development of a student and primarily sensitizing the students and employees of the college on constitutional obligations: values rights duties and responsibilities as a citizen of the nation.
Academically the student is taught various subjects like
1. Constitution of India where the student is exposed to topics like the Meaning of the constitution law and constitutionalism , Historical perspective of the Constitution of India, Salient features and characteristics of the Constitution of India, Scheme of the fundamental rights and Duties and its legal status, Federal structure and distribution of legislative and financial powers between the Union and the States, Parliamentary Form of Government in India, Amendment of the Constitutional Powers and Procedure etc..
2. To make the student sensible with regard to issues of gender in contemporary India and to provide a critical perspective on the socialization of men and women a gender sensitisation lab is also conducted.
3. To make the students aware of cybercrimes, cyberspace and Indian IT act Cyber security subject is taught.
4. Other such subjects which are taught under this category are Environment studies, Intellectual property rights.
In addition to this the women’s cell of CMREC also conducts events on their rights and respect. The NSS unit of the college conducts haritharam, Swachh Bharath and many other such programs.
