The academic structure of the courses and the schedules are finalized by the University Authorities and the college will follow the same. Examinations will be conducted at the college both for mid-sessional work and for end examinations. The question papers are sent by the University and the end examinations will be conducted as per the directions of the University.
Evaluation
Students are advised to go through the Academic Regulations of JNTU syllabus book (applicable for the respective batches) on regular basis to understand the Examination Regulations.
Internal Examination
Internal Examination consists of theory subjects for 1/2/3/4 year B.Tech, during the semester there shall be 2 midterm examinations. Each midterm examination consists of one objective paper, one subjective paper and one assignment. The objective paper is for 10 marks and subjective paper is for 10 marks, with a duration of 1 hour 20 minutes (20 minutes for objective and 60 minutes for subjective paper). Objective paper is set for 20 bits of - multiple choice questions, fill-in the blanks, matching type questions - for the 10 marks. Subjective paper of each semester shall contain 4 full questions (one from each unit) of which, the student has to answer 2 questions, each carrying 5 marks.
First midterm examination shall be conducted for 1-3 units of syllabus and second midterm examination shall be conducted for 4-5 units. 5 marks are allocated for Assignments (as specified by the concerned subject teacher) - first Assignment should be submitted before the conduct of the first mid, and the second Assignment should be submitted before the conduct of the second mid, and the average of the two assignments shall be taken. The total marks secured by the student in each midterm examination are evaluated for 25 marks, and the better of the two midterm examinations shall be taken as the final marks secured by each candidate.
University Examination
Each theory examination will be descriptive and conducted at the end of semester / year. Each question paper will consist of 8 questions out of which the student has to attempt 5 questions. Each question carries 15 marks. Practical end exam will be conducted for 50 marks with External Evaluation.
Eligibility
Students have to put up a minimum attendance of 75% (as per JNTU) in aggregate to be eligible to write the external examinations conducted by JNTU.
